I am a qualified Chartered Physiotherapist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. I am an accredited member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists and PhysioFirst, (Private Physiotherapy Organisation).

My other qualifications include a degree in Sports Science where I studied Sports Psychology, Biomechanics and Exercise Physiology and sports coaching qualifications for athletics and weight training.

Initially working in a hospital setting in Bristol I established the Bristol Sports Injury Clinic and worked with Bristol Athletics Club as Physiotherapist and Athletics coach.

I moved to Cornwall in 1989 and have worked in hospitals, GP Practices and Private Practice.

Having personally participated and competed in many sports, I have the benefit of having a firsthand understanding of the psychology of the sports and fitness individual.

My 36 years of Physiotherapy Practice has led to a wealth of experience in treating musculoskeletal conditions.

I use a professional intuitive approach to the assessment of your problem backed up with scientific knowledge and evidence-based treatments.

I undertake a thorough assessment to gain an understanding of your individual problem and will work with you to compile a bespoke course of treatment to provide effective relief of your pain.

My background in Biomechanics allows me to analyse your whole-body movement and correct abnormal movement patterns and muscular imbalance which could be contributing to your pain.

A personal plan will be discussed with you to achieve the best results and ongoing management and prevention of further problems.

Physiotherapy aims to reduce pain, promote recovery from injury, restore your physical well being enabling you to return to your everyday activities and sport.

I offer advice on posture and the correct workplace set-up to ease repetitive strain and prevent postural stress.
