Think Clearly Under Pressure (TCUP)
Life Coach, Brian Tregunna, outlines how to deal with pressure

Thinking clearly under pressure will enable you to make good decisions, build your confidence and achieve strong outcomes.
Pressure can take many forms, such as managing a heavy workload or rushing to meet a challenging deadline. To deal effectively with such pressure it’s important to recognise that, even if the situation cannot be fully resolved, you still have choices and opportunities to exert some form of control. Always remember:
‘In any given situation, you have the freedom to choose your own attitude.’
Manage Your State: Be in control of your mind and body: manage your thoughts, words, pulse rate, energy, focus and actions in a positive way.
Control Anxiety: Use Box Breathing or another breathing technique to flood your body with oxygen, slow your pulse rate and calm your mind.
Be ‘in the Moment’: Focus on Tasks and Processes not Outcomes. Concentrate on the completion of small easy tasks to achieve some progress, build your self-confidence and create a sense of achievement.
Use Positive Self-Talk: You are the one who is listening. Positive Thoughts lead to Positive Actions which tend to create Positive Outcomes.
Use Pre-planned Systems, Procedures & Processes: That will make life easier, simplify challenges and increase the likelihood of success.
Control the Controllables: e.g. what you think, say and do. Let-go of other details. Remember, ‘where focus goes, energy flows.’
Expect the Unexpected: So that it won’t shock or distract you. There is always another way, the challenge is to find it and then take action.
